NOW THIS IS A GREAT IDEA
February 3, 2010 · Leave a Comment
For real. I hope this idea becomes huge. Women are finally getting the chance to play professional football. It’s the equivalent of guys and MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). And it’s catching on in Europe and Asia. Laying it on the line, going for it all and maybe an accidental kiss here and there. Certainly lightyears beyond Vince McMahon’s XFL.
What’s not to like. I’m going to see if there’s a New York team first thing in the morning and get iProgram and GCMP involved ASAP. What a great idea!!!! What we need is a team from Republic of Georgia – hottest girls on Earth!

FIRST REAL CONVERSATION WITH MY DAUGHTER
January 11, 2010 · Leave a Comment
We had just finished watching an amazing, sometimes difficult to watch program on PBS about Happiness and Relationships called THIS EMOTIONAL LIFE. http://www.pbs.org/thisemotionallife/series So we wanted to have our first “talk” with Sofia Alexis to discuss it and get her input.
See our conversation with Sofia here. It was a little late so we’re kind of getting ready for bed – so please excuse our informal attire.

WHEN NOT TO USE TWITTER
January 6, 2010 · Leave a Comment
Like, when your friend or lover, fiance – whatever – someone you care about DIES????
What are you doing on Twitter??? Saw this recently with a couple of celebrity deaths but this is the worst/dumbest/self-serving one of all.
“In bed crying, looking at baby pictures of Casey, Nicky and I. I feel so upset. I feel like I’ve lost a sister. My heart is broken. Miss her,” Paris Hilton posted to Twitter.
Nicky Hilton concurred, posting, “Rest in pace Casey Johnson. I love and miss you so much. You are my best friend, my sister…I am broken without you.”
Uhhh… yeah….
Johnson is survived by her daughter Ava-Monroe. She adopted the girl from Kazakhstan in 2007. Ava has been living with Casey’s mother, Sale, for the past several months, according to a family spokesman.
The year before adopting Ava, Johnson told an interviewer she had recently come back from a trip to poverty-stricken Cambodia with a new outlook on life.
She allowed the reporter, from Vanity Fair, to visit her two-story Spanish-style mansion in Los Angeles. That included a room-sized closet with dozens of pairs of designer shoes, but she admitted that amid all the luxury she felt like she had so much more than she would ever need. Still, she said, growing up rich “has its good side.”
More recently, after ending a tumultuous relationship with a boyfriend, Johnson began dating women and was recently romantically linked to the flamboyant bisexual reality TV star Tila Tequila.
Tequila’s publicist said the two were engaged. On her Twitter page, Tequila wrote late Monday, “Everyone please pray 4 my Wifey Casey Johnson. She has passed away. Thank u for all ur love and support but I will be offline to be w family.”

AT&T vs. THE ROCK (as in … a … ROCK?)
December 30, 2009 · Leave a Comment
I’m stuck with my iPhone… but you don’t have to be.
While I was doing my superstitious dance around the internet (i.e. reading updated news articles on Google in order to help the Vikings try and come back against the Bears – but ran out believe it or not, that’s how bad their Defense and special teams have become), I was stunned – but not really, to see that finally people are catching on to the fact that AT&T Sucks. Verizon is really clobbering them with that 5x coverage campaign but it’s true. What good is your iPhone if you can’t even use it in Brooklyn????
Anyway – here’s the article I came across during my fruitless attempt to help the Vikes.
Why did AT&T Wireless (T) halt online sales of Apple (AAPL) iPhones in New York City the weekend after Christmas? None of the answers AT&T has given so far make much sense.

GCMP.tv – FULL SERVICE BROADCAST, PRODUCTION and POST FACILITY NOW OPEN
December 27, 2009 · 1 Comment
NEWSFLASH:
GCMP.tv will be open for business the first week of January 2010.
GCMP is a full service production and post-production facility for broadcast and film that offers script-to-screen, brand-building creative, HD video and multi-media production services. In addition to entertainment, corporate and consumer based programming, GCMP produces kitchen based broadcasts to all domestic television markets. We have extensive experience with successfully producing satellite media tours, press junkets, shoot/edit/feeds, long and short form advertising, PSAs and more. Additionally, GCMP produces content including original programming for international audiences via the internet and now mobile phones.
GCMP produces and distributes quality content for the internet (including webinars, webcasts and original programming) which increasingly more consumers will come to demand as convergence (i.e. integration of desktop, big-screen and hand-held environments) becomes the norm.
We have successfully executed a number of satellite media tours and live television spots for major PR agencies and their clients. Our main goal is to make your experience a positive one, regardless if that requires a simple new product launch video or a comprehensive worldwide media campaign. Our top-of the-line creative and media relations teams ensure that what you see on screen meets — and exceeds — what you always imagined.
Our Facility
GCMP enlisted the services of AENA, Inc., one of the country’s leading design/architectural firms to design and build our facility and some of our sets including a working kitchen set. in the traditional style of a modern day kitchen complete with maple cabinets. It has a long kitchen counter, custom designed “cooking island” and a window that gives an “at home” feel as opposed to an industrial setting.
Our state of the art facility is conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, one block from Grand Central Station and fully equipped with HD cameras and decks, fiber connectivity, dedicated T1, green screen, make-up room, transcoding room, AVID and FCP edit bays, WIFI, Street Level elevator access and a lot more. Additionally we are able to provide our clients with a range of production services from crews, equipment packages and post production services to complete project management and delivery of your finished project.
Distribution
In addition to GCMP’s traditional distribution services, we also offer comprehensive internet media programs leveraging social and mobile channels. Through our extensive network of over 100 social media and viral video sites, we can syndicate your content so that it gets seen.
GCMP will expertly guide you from concept to completion and work with you to deliver a cost-effective production that makes an impact, and stands above the rest in its quality and originality.
We welcome the opportunity to speak with you about our exciting new studio and service offerings.

COWBOYS LOSE – AHHH – WHY I FEEL BETTER ABOUT THINGS
December 13, 2009 · Leave a Comment
Well – the Dallas Cowboys lost again – thankfully. I hate them. Not as much as the Red Sox – but there’s something about when they lose that I know that a lot of other people are bumming out.
Of course my disdain for the Cowboys goes back to the 70s when Drew Pearson pushed off on Nate Wright of my Minnesota Vikings. And the same kind of thing with the Red Sox when Varitek picked a fight with A-Rod to get his team going. But what comes around goes around (Hopefully this year for the Vikings).
