Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown. People who are going to be voting in this midterm cycle will probably wonder what if anything has changed. Wasn’t Change the whole premises upon which the Obama Administration rode to power on? Not that John McCain would have done any better – GOD! It most likely would have been a LOT worse.

But we’re still fighting in two wars, the drug violence and immigration problems on the Mexican Border are at this point OUT OF CONTROL, nothing has been done of any significance regarding Global Warming – and it goes on.

There was a time when you couldn’t turn on the television without seeing Obama. Now – I can’t turn on the television and see him. He’s on the Internet – that’s another issue – but he’s MIA on TV with the exception of people talking about him on the PBS Newshour or on the Sunday Morning Liar’s Club shows. Presidential Graying though – seems to be in effect just like George Bush Jr., and Clinton before him.

And then one says to themselves – why would anyone want the job of Governing.

What’s the incentive for the risks one takes and the toll on one’s health, mind and spirit. Obama so far doesn’t seem to be all the worse for wear. But constant dropping wears away a stone as they say – which is perhaps why we see him in his jubilant moments less and less. There’s nothing to celebrate! Everyone’s for hope and change. But, we as a people know that it’s all just rhetoric and that elections all seemingly boil down to a voter’s having to choose from the lesser of two evils. Or… not vote. Hmmmm….. there’s a concept. Such is the case in the Florida Gubernatorial Primary (see previous post on Rick Scott who held a slim 5 point lead a week ago and now “are about as close as they can be 45-44 in a virtual dead heat.” But don’t worry, neither Alex Sink nor Rick Scott will wear out their welcome. And truth be told, it’s better to wear out than to rust out as Rod Blagojevich.

But the wear and tear has to be taking it’s toll on Obama who certainly doesn’t appear to be wearing his presidential fingers to the bone – though he does wear heart on sleeve. He of course does need to wear more than one hat, commander of the military, social cheerleader, environmental advocate…. and the nation was ready to see him do it… but it’s wearing off as his approval rating is down to 45%.

Maybe he’s having a problem wearing the Presidential pants but regardless he’s worn out his welcome and we’re all the worse for wear. He to his credit has reached out to the right but apparently not enough. If he does decide to seek a second term, you can bet the gloves will come off. Which makes these mid-term elections all the more important regarding any mandate he has.

When we do see him like during his State of the Union Speech the other night, he looked worn and very much like he didn’t want to be there, playing out the string. I seriously question if he will run again. And at the same time, Hillary Clinton is making overtures that she’s tiring of the wear and tear, and traveling that being Secretary of State demands. Him, sounds like Hillary could take all that foreign diplomatic experience and kick back in the White House. One wonders if there was a deal to let Obama win the 2008 and run Clinton in 2012.

Regardless, I am convinced Barack Obama no longer wishes to be president.

LINDSAY LOHAN, PARIS HILTON AND KIM KARDASHIAN TO STAR IN REMAKE OF 1940′S OSCAR WINNING FILM SINCE YOU WENT AWAY?

I’ve recently heard a rumor, that came from a friend of my first cousin in Orlando, who works in a restaurant. Supposedly he was at work at a Fridays restaurant and overhead a conversation that a Film Executive was having about the three bad girls being lined up for a film which is to be a remake of the 1940′s Since You Went Away (1944).

Since You Went Away is a vivid, sentimental portrait of the World War II homefront with its trials, fears, heartbreaks, and its tribute to American family values. One of the poignant film’s posters declared it: “A love story of today’s love and laughter.” Producer David O. Selznick’s lavish film was an attempt to outdo his previous classic epic, Best Picture winner Gone With the Wind (1939), and it was his first production since his other Best Picture Oscar winner Rebecca (1940).

Here’s a brief SIN-opsys.

When her husband (played by Steve O from Jack-Ass?), goes off to War, Anne Hilton (Paris Hilton) is left behind with her two daughters and the family maid played by – I’m suggesting Naomi Campbell? As soon as he’s gone, and elderly boarder Col. Smollett (hopefully played by Mel Gibson) shows up bombed at Anne’s door. Meanwhile a bachelor Lt. Tony Willett (we hope it’s David Hasselhoff) who has always been in love with Anne, shows her attention while her husband is absent.

And that’s when the Hijinks get going. When you have three of the hottest personalities on screen at once.

In its most memorable scene, recently-engaged girlfriend, Jane (could it be Lindsay Lohan?) experiences a heart-rending parting at the railroad station with her young fianceé Corporal William G. Smollett (“played we hope by Amy Winehouse in reverse drag). There’s a hot exchange – of a plasticine bag and the cops roll up on them.

They make it onto the train just in time to avoid another bust. The husbands keep writing home but are hearing crazy reports about their wives and all go AWOL to join in the fun!

It’s just an idea. Hey, they say you can’t make this stuff up – but I still think it’s BIG DOLLARS to get these three on the screen at once.

Are people frustrated with Obama…. yes. But so far, it’s looking like another Stay At Home Election in the Florida Gubernatorial contest between Alex Sink and Rick Scott.

Here’s the way I see it at first glance… And I’m not being facetious, just superficial – but honest.

I can’t imagine voting for a Governor named SINK – in a state at sea level where there are hurricanes and floods. What’s the campaign slogan – Let’s Sink together with Alex Sink? Can you see it? Governor Sink? Governor Sink…. of Florida? Not in this Star Trek Timeline. But her opponent is the Doug Flutie of Politics – Heaven Help Us Rick Scott.

I did a mobile site for Rick Scott last year. He’s a Gazillionaire who went hard negative in order to win the Florida Republican Primary. Other problem – I’m sorry to say is – he looks like a skinny version of Pat Leahy so you can bet someone is slapping his hands when he hits the fridge at midnight. Remember… it’s not midnight snacking – it’s just getting a start on Breakfast. That’s the kind of pro-active Governor we need in Florida. Rick Scott is up against Alex Sink with the terrible name and – well – Democrat – with a great website and real social syndication tools and mobile. Democrats are the good – but inept guys. So what’s the point? That’s why I’m an independent.

But also – I don’t like what I’m seeing on TV with violence and sex, and reality TV…. Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan….

Why is it always the lesser of two evils? With Rick Scott, he had an organization called – Conservatives For Patients Rights. I did a pretty slick mobile website for them. You can see it here: http://cpr.iprogram.tv – blogs, feeds, automatic db population, mobile video, etc.

It’s got some cutting edge features that Rick Scott could have used in order to better influence the outcome of the healthcare legislation. But Rick Scott, Republican Nominee for Governor in Florida – was unresponsive. Never even got a thank you. Is that the kind of Governor Rick Scott will be – even though he may be right on a lot of the issues. Maybe Rick Scott’s team was paying too much attention to the Emmys over the weekend or the trials and tribulations of Lindsay Lohan?

RickScottForFlorida.com says he’s ready to get to work – Rick Scott I mean. But AlexSink2010.com has the year in it and says I’ll have more fun. Rick Scott who’s right on more of the issues I care about but doesn’t listen or seem to me to hear me, or Alex Sink who is a democrat – urgo – can’t get the things I like about the democrat platform done… but who looks like a nicer person.

Rick Scott – What about the little guy? Does Rick Scott, gubernatorial candidate in the state of Florida care about the little guy? Does gubernatorial hopeful Rick Scott get it about social media when the almighty Newt (see previous posts) has laid down the law about using new digital and emerging technologies?

I don’t think Republican hopeful Rick Scott or his team gets it at all. I signed up to volunteer for their campaign days ago and got an auto-response message and haven’t heard from them since. I was told by one insider that a young kid out of Austin, Texas who’s 22 is running their SMM (Social Media Marketing). Well, forget about the syndication, blogging, mobile and webcasting, how about just the same simple “Thanks, We hear you…. let’s work together.”

Nope. Candidate Rick Scott seems to be in the same mold as all the other pretender Republicans. Tim Polenti, are you going to be the same as Rick Scott, who’s running for Governor of the great state of Florida? I hope not Tim.

At the same time – you have Alex Sink. Not a great name to have Governor Sink with Hurricane Earl on its way. And plenty more to come. And I signed up for her campaign too – just to see – you know, a controlled test. Maybe Alex Sink’s campaign staff was distracted by the news that Paris Hilton is facing felony drug possession charge after weekend arrest. They think it’s Cocaine… but shhhhh….

Paris Hilton Cares!!! Why else would she be doing the stuff she keeps doing and getting caught and in trouble for doing, and doing all kinds of…. stuff!??

We were just on our way to Central Park on a picnic with the kids yesterday when I pointed to the Hilton and my relatives who’d never seen it (they’re from the Republic of Georgia) and I told them how Paris Hilton was written out of the will. They knew who Paris Hilton was. They didn’t know who Rick Scott – Republican Candidate for Governor was. We just got finished with Lindsay Lohan. ARRRGGHHH.

Doesn’t anyone know that there’s an important election going on in Florida. According to Saturday’s Poll (on Rick Scott’s website) – Rick Scott the Republican was up 41 to 36. Sooo….. what about that other ALMOST QUARTER (25% for those who are as smart as Paris Hilton) OF THE ELECTORATE? Again – I’m just being honest. WHAT ABOUT ME? TELL ME WHAT I WANT TO HEAR, SOMETHING RICK SCOTT – ANYTHING RICK SCOTT….. Any…. thing? Do you hear me Rick Scott?

Sure the websites look nice, but I went on both to Volunteer for both – NOTHING. So are both Rick Scott and Alex Sink just preaching to their respective true believers? Where’s the beef Rick Scott? Please tell me because – I’d like to get involved. This country is spiraling out of social control and we gotta put the brakes on – so yes – I’m an independent that’s giving your campaign the GREEN LIGHT.

But apparently it’s like a tree falling in the forest.

As far as ALEX SINK – ugh. She does have some people designing some nice tee-shirts. Got a closet full…. been there done that.

Time to stick our heads in the sand and for Rick Scott’s campaign to just hope as many of Alex Sink’s supporters stay home as possible…. oh but… there’s that President thing…. what’s his name?

Look this election is going to be one of those recount deals.

Yeah…. hmmmm…. what to do about that Rick Scott. This is why I generally avoid mobile politics – John McCain’s team didn’t get it, neither does Rick Scott’s Campaign Team. And that 41-36 percent lead he has in the polls will quickly evaporate.
