Angelina Jolie played (whom many consider to be the first Supermodel) Gia Marie Carangi who died of AIDS in 1998. She got addicted to heroin and though she was doing Vogue and Cosmo shoots, she couldn’t stop herself. Everyone – I think, should see this movie.
Now, I’m not trying to be funny when I suggest that celebrities who, let’s say, display some curves, are good for society. Most likely they’re not doing it on purpose and they’re the (pardon the pun), Butt of many a joke. Butt…. You can’t stay thin forever unless you’re doing cocaine, or heroin, or the new Hollywood code word for cocaine and/or heroin “prescription medications” everyday. And I’m saying it’s okay to be famous and fat, fat and famous, etc.
So how did she stay thin for so long? And more importantly – was it necessary? Ever hear of Lane Bryant? So I want to thank the following stars for helping to stop the myth that you have to be rail thin to be “beautiful people.”
Kirstie Alley, Rene Zellweger, Janet Jackson, John Travolta, yeah well they’ve been around – a while. And they’re still doing it so it’s to be expected. But I’m just wondering if Jessica Simpson and Kim Kardashian are coming over to the other side and saying – “F it” – real women have curves. If Janet Jackson had a wardrobe malfunction today, most of California would feel it.
And it goes for the guys too. Conan O’Brien just looks bigger with that ridiculous beard.
CELEBRITIES NOT AFRAID TO SHOW SOME LOVE.... HANDLES THAT IS
There’s an interesting article on FAT AFTER FAME on TMZ that makes one (or at least me), think, what is society’s conception of beauty? Look at these people. I see more gorgeous women out here in Brighton Beach than I see on TV. It just goes to show that, along with everything else, the world seems to be working – in reverse.
As far as the Celebrity Universe goes, you have to know that it takes a certain type to be able to handle it – and very few can. For instance “THE SITUATION” from Jersey Shore just received I think 5 million from MTV for, well, being “THE SITUATION”. Where as someone named Fantasia Barrino (I confess I have no idea who she is), overdosed on sleeping pills because of the vicious and mean comments posted by fans on celebrity blogs. At least her heart didn’t stop after doing too much cocaine.
Really?
